The chocolate revolution is expanding — and we’re opening three new Hotel Chocolat stores across the UK. If you’re lucky enough to live nearby, why not pop by and take a look around?

At Hotel Chocolat, we’ve been offering online chocolate since the 1990s — but we’ve had our Hotel Chocolat locations open for over 20 years and are currently celebrating our 20th anniversary — and we’ve come a long way since 2004. In fact, this was the year of our first store opening in Watford, North London.

After such a long time of our talented Inventors reimagining and breaking the moulds of what chocolate is and can be, it only makes sense for our stores to expand as our expertise grows.

New Hotel Chocolat location openings in the UK

With over 136 locations in action, it’s hard to believe that there are a few areas where we haven’t made our mark yet.

With these new chocolate shops, our goal is to help every customer find their ‘Love Match’ based on your preferred flavour profiles — from smooth pralines and patisserie-inspired treats to zingy fruit chocolates that pack a punch.

Our latest concept stores offer chocolate and other bestselling treats. They also feature in-store cafes where guests can choose from thousands of flavour combinations to personalise their cacao drink of choice.

To help us achieve this goal and to bring out the chocolate aficionado hidden in everyone, we’re proud to have expanded into the following areas:

• Stratford-upon-Avon: We opened the doors at The Maybird Centre on Birmingham Road on the 20th of March.

• Newport, Wales: Our most recent South Wales addition welcomed guests at the Newport Retail Park on Spytty Road on the 21st of March. 

• Horsham: Our Horsham location opened on the 23rd of March, at number 4 West Street.

About the new Hotel Chocolat locations

Each of our locations has its own unique flair, and our newest additions showcase individual appeal, too.

Stratford-upon-Avon

This Hotel Chocolat store and cafe seats 54, specialising in a variety of chocolate drinks.

David Lodge, Operations Manager of Maybird Shopping Park, said how the shopping park was: “thrilled to welcome Hotel Chocolat, which will really enhance the range and quality of our shopping outlets in Maybird.”

Newport

Also home to a Velvetiser Cafe, guests can personalise their drinks with over 18 flavours and countless topping varieties. Served hot, over ice, or as a Choc Shake with milk or a plant-based alternative — the choice is yours.

The 4,380 sq ft unit seats 50 guests. Our Omnichannel Director, Frankie Haynes, has stated that this store will “drive forward in making retail park experiences that much more enjoyable.”

Horsham

Based in the heart of Horsham town on the bustling West Street, this Sussex-based concept store is perfect for a midday rest stop, as an after-school treat, or as a place to source the perfect chocolate gift for a loved one.

Frankie Haynes said: “Whether our customers are after a relaxing drink in one of our Velvetiser Cafes or would like to explore our range of top-quality chocolate, this new store offers guests the opportunity to shop at a more leisurely pace.”
