Our Saint Lucian Island Growers 50% Milk Drinking Chocolate Sachets are a celebration of cacao grown by farmers in our Island Growers programme. Saint Lucia’s rich volcanic soil bestows a distinctive flavour profile, with malty notes that unfold to reveal fruity and floral undertones in this characterful drinking chocolate.
We collect the wet cacao beans, then dry and grade them under the Saint Lucian sun on our cacao farm, Rabot Estate. All cacao grown by us and by our partners uses a method we call ‘gentle farming’ – farming that’s positive for nature and positive for farmers, helping both to thrive.
The beans are sorted, dried and fermented at our Rabot Estate cacao farm, then we roast and conch them closer to home at our Hadley Park HQ in Cambridgeshire. That’s where our expert chocolatiers transform them into pure chocolate flakes, perfectly portioned in sachets for an impeccably balanced drink, every time.
To create a luxurious hot chocolate, simply add to your Velvetiser hot chocolate machine or whisk into 220ml of milk or a dairy alternative and heat. INSTRUCTIONS – HOT CHOCOLATE
1.Pour 220ml milk/dairy alternative into your Velvetiser.
2. Sprinkle in the chocolate flakes from a single-serve sachet.
3. Press the button and let the Velvetiser work its magic.
INSTRUCTIONS – ICED CHOCOLATE
1.Fill half a glass with 100ml milk/dairy alternative and a generous amount of ice. Leave to chill.
2. Add 120ml milk/dairy alternative and the chocolate flakes from a single-serve sachet into your Velvetiser.
3. Pour the velvetised chocolate into your iced milk, watch it meld. Stir well, savour.
