That’s why we had to bottle it to make our Mint Chocolate Velvetised Cream — something so good deserves to last.
After spending two years perfecting our original Velvetised Chocolate Cream, Chef David Demaison of our Cacao Innovation Team turned his hand to creating the ultimate mint cream tipple — an after-dinner mint and drinkable digestif, all in one.
Taking our Mint Royale selector and Peppermint Super Thin Truffles as the benchmark, David experimented with various fresh and fragrant mint oils until he discovered the ideal blend of cooling peppermint and warming vodka, real cream and 70% dark chocolate.
Although we’re confident in our chocolatiers’ ability to find the perfect balance of flavours, we still put our creations through a vigorous four-step tasting process to make sure we’ve achieved a harmonious marriage of both tastes and textures for you to enjoy.
At Hotel Chocolat, we don’t believe in using anything artificial, ever. That’s why we only ever use real ingredients to flavour our creations. We think that the natural aromas of peppermint oil taste so much better than anything artificial. After all, nature provides us with all we need to create a creamy drink which is bold in cocoa notes, with a delicately cooling peppermint backdrop.
