Nothing says summer quite like a bowl of Eton Mess. Our White Chocolate Eton Mess contains all of the essential ingredients: strawberries, crisp meringue, and creamy white chocolate. Our chocolates are arguably better than the real thing!!
This beautifully simple dessert is said to have originated from Eton College at the end of the 19th Century, when an over-excited dog knocked over a meringue dessert at a picnic. Whatever the history, this delightful summer pudding has stood the test of time and is now a firm British favourite.
We wanted this recipe to be just like the classic British dessert, so we whipped the strawberry cream centre. This is then sealed in our white chocolate cups. Our 40% cocoa butter chocolate is delectably smooth and creamy, perfectly offsetting the natural sweetness of strawberry. We’ve finished our creation by adding a sprinkle of crunchy meringue and tangy strawberry pieces.
The snappable 40% cocoa butter outer contrasts beautifully with the softly whipped middle, and the crunchy strawberry meringue topping gives that explosion of textures so typical of Eton Mess. There’s nothing ‘messy’ about these chocolates - in fact, some might even say we’ve made the perfect Eton mess - but you’ll have to be the judge of that!
