Our chocolatiers experimented for months to find the perfect spice pairing for this recipe – sampling various chillis from Carolina Reaper to ancho.
They settled on a blend of chipotle and habanero, all wrapped up in 70% dark chocolate for a playful balance of spiciness and smokiness, creaminess and intense cacao depth. We believe that authenticity always tastes better, which is why we use real spice blends and the highest-quality cacao in these chipotle truffles.
Dark inside and out, we soothed all that chipotle habanero fieriness with a deep hazelnut-dark praline and then finished it off with a coat of dark chocolate. At 70% cacao, our house grade is unbelievably smooth with a satisfying cacao depth, meaning you’ll taste all the intricate notes of the cacao bean alongside the smoke and fire of chilli.
