Who can resist the sweet toasted sugar notes and soothing alcohol kick of a high quality rum? This is one for those partial to a top shelf tipple. Our rum truffles contain an ample snifter of rum in a smooth caramel cream truffle, sealed in our velvety 40% milk chocolate.
We only ever use premium spirits that are just as good consumed on their own as they are in our chocolate creations. These rum chocolate truffles are no different. We use St Lucian rum, distilled just down the road from our Rabot Estate plantation where we grow some of our own cacao beans. With unmistakable Carribean roots to these chocolates, just one taste will transport you to the tropical sunshine.
The caramel cream blend of the truffle perfectly compliments the notes of raisins, tobacco and spice from the golden rum. The result is a silky soft truffle with incredible depth of flavour that is followed by a warming buttery finish. These little morsels are sealed in a thick layer of our mellow 40% cocoa chocolate, giving that delectable cocoa hit.
We think these tipsy truffles have a just-right alcohol kick, but be sure to keep those little fingers away! Don’t forget to pair it with your favourite rum.
