A supremely chunky egg comprising half 40% milk, half caramel-milk chocolate. Piled high with our best-loved and most mellow truffles, pralines and caramels, and served in new packaging that’s 100% recyclable at home – made from a mix of paper pulp and cacao bean husks.

When we first started making Easter eggs, 20-plus years ago, experts told us to make them as thin as possible. We decided to break the rules – and the mould – opting instead for outrageously thick shells that are satisfyingly snappable.

Over two decades later, they’re still just as chunky, just as enjoyable to nibble, and still brimming with expertly paired filled chocolates. Even in the event of an egg hunt, we think this supremely chunky creation is far too good to be kept hidden...

Crafted with two of our smoothest and creamiest chocolate recipes, this Extra-Thick Egg is one half 40% milk and one half malty, not-too-sweet caramel-milk. For 2025, we’re excited to unveil the fact it’s now encased in a brand-new eggshell made entirely from paper pulp and inspired by the shape of a cacao pod. Cacao is at the heart of the paper sleeve and menu, too – the subtle speckles you’ll see on the paper are in fact recycled cacao bean husks. Completely plastic-free, your egg’s new packaging is biodegradable, compostable and 100% recyclable.
