Here, zippy blackcurrant delivers a mighty fruit kick in a compote worthy of serving in a generous layer on toast. We then added a creamy layer of tart blackcurrant blended with real whipping cream to form a silky-smooth ganache, a satisfying taste and texture contrast to the tangy compote.<br /><br />But we didn't stop there. To seal in those exquisite berry notes, we topped it all with a solid blackcurrant chocolate cap, to which we added natural pops of colour reminiscent of ripe and ready to-pick blackcurrants.
